NorthLink Ferries operate three passenger ships on the Orkney and Shetland routes and sail daily from Aberdeen to Lerwick with frequent stops at Kirkwall. You can also sail from Scrabster on the northern Scottish coast to Stromness in Orkney.

What does my NorthLink Ferries ferry crossing price include?
Your quote is for all passengers in your vehicle including the driver - or for all foot passengers if you are travelling without a vehicle.
Is a cabin included?
Accommodation is optional on board NorthLink Ferries ferry crossings. Should you wish to add a reserved seat or a cabin you can select from the different options as you make your booking.
Are meals included?
No. However, the NorthLink Ferries vessels have bars, dining facilities and menus containing a selection of fine Island and local Scottish mainland produce. The restaurants also off a special children's menu or children's portions of main meals can be ordered for half the price of an adult serving.
Can I travel with my pet with NorthLink Ferries?

What's available for the Kids?
The 'Viking's Den' Play Area is available for younger children and includes games, activities and a television showing cartoons or other children's programs. On the Aberdeen - Kirkwall - Lerwick routes, the ferries have an on board cinema. For older kids, there's a gamezone with games consoles running some of the latest games (payable).

NorthLink Ferries - Pet Booking Information

You can take your pet on your NorthLink Ferries crossing and the booking can be made online. Select the route you want and then select the number of pets you are travelling with.

Pets must travel in the kennel facilities which are available on board all ships. With the exception of guide and assistance dogs, animals are not allowed in any of the internal public areas, including cabins.

The kennel room on the ships are heated and ventilated and there is a water supply for filling the dog’s water bowl. You should provide bowls to keep in the kennel to enable the animal to have water/food during the voyage. Whilst each unit contains a rubber mat on the floor, we also recommend that you provide a blanket or basket for your pet to sleep on.
