DFDS Seaways has a 140 year history and currently operates cruise ferries on the Newcastle to Ijmuiden (Amsterdam) route and Harwich to Esbjerg (Denmark) routes. With the recent acquisition of Norfolkline, they also now operate the popular Dover – Dunkirk crossing. Their network also extends beyond the UK with sailings between Copenhagen and Oslo.

Situated close to Amsterdam, Ijmuiden is a perfect choice for short trips to Amsterdam or longer journeys further into the continent. With up to seven sailings per week and a journey time of 16h 30m it’s a convenient and relaxing journey on a luxurious ferry. The Harwich to Esbjerg is the UK’s only direct ferry route to Denmark with up to four sailings per week and a journey time of approximately 18h 15m.
