More About Jersey

Jersey is a popular destination for family holidays because of its kind climate and safe, laid-back atmosphere. The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey has a range of attractions including fantastic beaches, restaurants and bars.

St Helier, Jersey’s capital, is a popular spot, with a range of shops, museums, cinemas, galleries, theatres, and more. Close to the ferry terminal, you can be relaxing in St Helier in no time after disembarkation.

All ferries to Jersey from the UK are operated by Condor Ferries, and they sail from Portsmouth, Poole and Weymouth. The Portsmouth crossing takes around 4 hours and is operated year-round, Weymouth is also year-round and takes around 3 1/2 hours. The service from Poole only operates during the peak summer months, and takes around three hours.

Because the Channel Islands are part of the UK, EU citizens don’t require passports to enter, but it may be easier to take it anyway. Non EU travellers will need to have their passports. The currency is GBP Pound Sterling as in the rest of the UK.
