Renowned ferry operator Condor Ferries has recently taken a unique move to ensure its ferries are family friendly by enlisting the help of a family! Parents will know only too well the difficulties of keeping the kids entertained on a lengthy voyage across the Channel. Brittany Ferries recently made the choice to run marine biology workshops and Condor has responded by introducing an activity book aimed at young children.
Michelle Leicester, of coastal resort Poole, is a retail buyer for Condor Ferries. With the priceless input of her young family, she was able to design an activity book she believes will be ideal for keeping the kids out of mischief, ensuring parents can have a relaxing start to their break.
In addition, Condor has also released a marine themed lunch box and installed a state of the art 42 inch plasma tv screen in the children’s lounge, showing a range of classic family films. Justin Amey, managing director of Condor, is excited about the new steps the company is making, saying: “We think the combination of activity books, kids’ lunch-boxes and the new, improved children’s TV lounge, will go a long way to ensuring they – and their parents – have an even better travelling experience with us”.
